Archiveda literal hell? i found this article interestingYes, we are separated if we do not accept Jesus Christ. The wrath of God does not preclude love. When you were young, and your parents got mad, even really mad, at you, did they cease loving you? Of course not. Neither does God. Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. And the moment we do accept Jesus, and repent, our sins are forgotten, not just forgiven, and they will not be remembered by God. Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. After we repent, the Holy Spirit will descend upon us when we are found to be ready for it, and if we reject it, that is the only unforgivable act. Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: The Holy Spirit does not baptize a person unless they’ve voluntarily given themselves to God, by accepting Jesus Christ, and receiving water baptism. Then there will be a second baptism, with fire, by the Holy Spirit. There’s nothing in the world that could compare to that, and so rejection is hard to imagine. If they reject the Holy Spirit, they never really repented, and so the Holy Spirit wouldn’t enter them, anyway. God’s love isn’t conditional. He loves us whether we choose to follow Jesus or not. It’s up to each of us to enter into that light of love, because He will not shut us out if we seek it. So the separation is a result of our own hardened heart, not God's. Jesus said, in John 6:37: All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. |
