Don't you think that if God really didn't want a child to live, He could cause something to happen that would end the child's life, like a miscarriage or a still-birth, or maybe some kind of infection, or maybe one of the nurses drops the baby, or maybe they get in a car accident on the way home from the hospital, etc......
One example of this is the story of David and Bathsheba. Because of the dual sins David had committed (adultery and murder), the child died. (I suspect that he was stillborn.)
I would also like to make a comment on your religious attitude, it seems you are seeking, but out of fear of being wrong you are taking a little of everything.
You must understand that God does not want us to have religion, He wants us to have a relationship with Him. Do not compare yourself or your beliefs to other people and other religions. Compare yourself to Christ Jesus and His willingness to give Himself completely to God's glorification.
Excellent point, Berlin.
but, it must be legal. there are things called medical conditions. i cannot just accept that as my fate and the will of God. i must fight against my disease. yet i know some women are not physically capable of bearing a child, yet they can concieve. like my dear old grammy who had diabetes and the doctor said the child would risk her and its lives.
My Aunt Jean has diabetes, and I believe that she had diabetes during all three of her pregnancies. Even a perfectly healthy woman can have complications during labor. But you cannot base a horrendous decision upon what I call the "maybe" factor.
i dont like to generalize. i like the case by case thing. i mean, what if a mom cannot properly take care of it? what if she has no love? what if she has no money? what if she has no one with her and becomes homeless?
There's one solution for all four cases: put the child up for adoption.
i believe if she commits that murder, God can forgive her for taking a life because He knew she was doing it for the best.
Yes, He will forgive her...
if she is repentant and truly remorseful. God has the uncanny ability to look into a person's heart. He will know if this person is sincere when she's seeking forgiveness. But there is no excuse for murder, and God does not condone it.
Remember this Commandment: "You shall not murder."
with the believe in reincarnation, the baby's soul will be born again, perhaps to a healthier parent, a loving family, that can support this child that they WANT.
There is no such thing as reincarnation, Gerani, and it's wrong to base your support for abortion on something that doesn't exist. You can change your wording all you want, but you're still supporting abortion.
