Abortion Memorial Servicewhy abortion is good.Gerani, you need to do a little more study on the differences between Catholicism and True Christianity (not to say that only catholics practice infant baptism). Many of your posts have mixed up catholic belief for Christianity, and I think it is causing you a great deal of confusion. This question wasn't directed at me, but I'll answer anyway. Christianity does not practice infant baptism because baptism is meant to be a testimony to the world that you are identified with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Infants have not received the gift of salvation, and therefore cannot be identified with Christ in this way. Christians get baptized after they are saved, at whatever age that may be for that person. I was saved when I was 5, and baptized when I was 9 or 10. Someone else may not have gotten saved until they were 55, and then baptized at 55 or 60. So you see, the age at which a Christian is baptized is different for everyone and it is dependent on when they were saved. And it is important to note that baptism plays no role in a Christian's salvation. A person could get saved today, die tomorrow without having been baptized, and still go to heaven since salvation is solely dependent on whether a person has received Christ as his savior. |
