hope is not confusion. sure it has an element of certainty. i have no idea i am certain i will kill someone. but i may kill a man. if i have a gun and some robber is threatening my mother with another weapon, i think i would shot to scare him or injure him. sure i never meant to kill, but i value my Mother more than a robber.
if you read amy tan's books, a common thread is hope. hope is a very beautiful thing, something by God we have hope to live, hope that things improve from thier present situation or problems. i have hope. and lots of it.
everyone expresses hope. its impossible not to hope. and every person has it, therefore thier faiths include it. its not just hinduism.
im sorry about steroetypeing all christains as a catholic, i know that some ppl arent, but i dont go deep into all the sects different beliefs. they all believe in the bible. and yes i have read the bible...
cry the beloved country is a book by alan paton, it talks about South Africa (the country) and civil rights and its a beautiful book, easy to read, (yet quite dry). it deals heavily with morality and i brought it up in my posts not concerning about hinduism, but my morals and my beliefs. sorry for the confusion.
