ArchivedVirgin Birth of JesusHi Carol, When we say that God in unknowable we mean that we can not describe his physical nature because it's just simply beyond our capabilities of comprehension. what we know of God is his good attributes which includes justice, what we know of God is that he is simply the only God and can not be divided or described in any way, spiritualy or phisically. SO when you go declare him to other nations we simply declare him as the true creator of the universe. If I am not mistaken, you are trying to justify why Jesus is considered God. Again, this won't be applicable if you are trying to convince a Muslim about your point here. That would be acceptable for a Christian only dear Carol. To make things clearer here. When you argue with a Muslim about Verses in the bible you have to understand something here. Muslims do not believe that the Gospels or what preceed them are the word of God. The only thing that MAY contain the word of God is the OT. Quoting the NT will lead us out of the discussion here. This verse I believe totally agree with Islam, and I have already explained how we know God. WE know him that he is the only God with all the great attributes that he gave to himself in the Quran. You can read the Quran and see how we know God through the Quran and ask us about that. If you ask us about verses in the NT and what they mean, I don't think you would get a proper response since we don't believe it's the word of God. No offense here of course. When we say that God in unknowable we mean it in the physical sense. You WILL know God if you believe he exists and when I say KNOW him I simply know him through what I have written above. Thank you and peace. |
