Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesIs not this more than just personal relationship ?arunangelo wrote:Alpha wrote:John 6:52 >The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, "How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?"

It is very clear to know when Christ is speaking spiritual truth in figurative language (in hindsight atleast). Aineo has made his point.
It is important to remember that in (John6: 51) Jesus said, 'the bread that I will give is my flesh. He was talking about future tense, which was the Lord's supper, that had to come. The Jews found it hard to believe. Many therefore, left Him. Peter and the other apostles (except Judas John6:71) however, believed Him. This is the reason why all the Christian churches whose leaders have apostolic succession believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
The point is, Jesus was spiritually speaking. When Christ returns, we are not going to see all His flesh gone with only bones remaining. This is not going to be the return of Skeletor.
John 4:11 > The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?
John 7:38 > He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
This "living water" is part of being Born Again and experiencing change in your life in Christ/ God changing your heart and giving you the Spirit, which will eventually lead to eternal life. Do you believe this means that Aquaman is running through your veins ?
