Aineo wrote:The oldest manuscripts of Matthew's gospel are not written in Aramaic they are written in Greek so your appeal to some other language is begging the question. Also by appealing to the Aramaic translation of Matthew you are actually weakening your case.
Luther did not set out to start a new church, his intent was to reform the Catholic Church and correct some it its heretical teachings therefore it is not surprising that Luther retained a lot of Catholic heretical teachings. As to your appeal to your ECF’s since none of them knew Paul or Matthew and all of them are Greek’s influenced by Greek paganism you are again begging the question. Also since the RCC destroyed any and all writings that disagreed with their interpretations and doctrines there is no real historical evidence (other then the Bible) to tell us what the 12 apostles believed and taught.
The word “eucharist” is actually a transliteration of the Greek word that means “thanksgiving” and any of the ECF’s writings where “eucharist” is found is simply Rome’s revisionism since the word “eucharist” dates to about the 13th century A.D.
Eucharist
"sacrament of the Lord's Supper, the Communion," c.1350, from Gk. eukharistia "thanksgiving, gratitude," later "the Lord's Supper," from eukharistos "grateful," from eu- "well" + stem of kharizesthai "show favor," from kharis "favor, grace," from PIE base *gher- "to like, want" (see horatory). Eukharisteo is the usual verb for "thank" in the Septuagint and N.T.

In other words you are appealing to Rome to establish what Rome wants Catholics to believe.
What I find interesting about Catholics is you don’t appeal to God’s word but to Greek’s and “holy traditions” to establish your heresies. The foundation of Christianity is Judaism and God told the Jews:
Leviticus 17:10
10'And any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. NAS
Leviticus 3:16-17
17'It is a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you shall not eat any fat or any blood.' " NAS
This is echoed in Acts:
Acts 15:28-29
28 "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials: 29 that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell. " NAS
Now either God is a hypocrite who does not know His own mind or Catholicism is teaching heresy in the name of a religion that denies God’s truth.
The "real presence" of the Lord is not found in the "eucharist" but in the believer:
John 17:20-23
20 "I do not ask in behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21 that they may all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me. 22 "And the glory which Thou hast given Me I have given to them; that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, that the world may know that Thou didst send Me, and didst love them, even as Thou didst love Me. NAS
Maybe you should study Scripture and not Catholic propaganda. You just might learn the truth and in the process cease teaching false doctrines formulated and promulgated by an apostate church.
