What webmaster wrote is closer to actual history than the Catholic Church's version of history. How did the Catholic Church gets its wealth in the past? It robbed temples and with some of the Pope's armies fought wars of conquest. You cannot deny history, but then that is what the Catholic Church has done for centuries.
Didn't I admit and agree in the past that we have has some "bad" popes?

Paul told us to study to show ourselves approved so what you posted about us not being able to understand Scripture on our own is simply not true. Yes, we should be under our pastor but that does not mean the Catholic Church interpretation is a valid interpretation since Peter warned about "personal interpretations" and all Catholic doctrine is the result of the personal interpretation of men.
The Catholic Churches interpretation of scripture was held by all christians for 1,500 years, until the 16th century. Personal interpretation is unbiblical. The church is guided by the Holy Spirit.
Your Pastor? your pastors dont agree with each other, let alone interpretate scripture. The mere fact that they contradict each other in there interpretions, is enough.
