Boiler Joe asked me a question about gay marriage. If I remember correctly, he asked me why gay marriage isn't okay, if God advocates love.
Here's the answer.
Nowhere in the Bible did God, Jesus Christ, the disciples or any other person who followed the law of God advocate gay relationships of any kind. Because homosexuality is a sin. PERIOD! And marriage is a sacred act that unites one man and one woman under God.
Genessis 2:21-24 And the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Leviticus 21:13, 14: And he shall take a wife in her virginity. A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlet, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.
Any marriage that takes place between two people of the same sex is not condoned by God. Therefore, people do not have the right to call homosexual marriage a "holy union." There is nothing holy about it.
