That the only reason gender equality is valid today is because there are at least a few egalitarian cultures to be found in history? Conversely, if I found an example of a culture in which a marriage-equivalent was equally accessible to both heterosexual and homosexual couples, would that validate homosexual marriage, your eyes?
I suspect this is a moot point.
It is as far as I am concerned. A study of history will demonstrate that the fall of any culture or society follows a common path; arrogance resulting in promiscuity and the decline in heterosexual morality, which is followed by an increase in the tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality. A casual study of Rome culture will show this to be true. What many Christians ignore in Romans 1:18-32 is Paul's description of this progression, why? Arrogance, which is one of the faults of Sodom and her sister cities that resulted in there destruction.

Honestly, no. I've argued most of them at length, on other boards. I suppose it was my way of proving to myself that I was right, that I wasn't making a mistake... or if I was, that it was an honest one. It was something I needed to do, at the time... but I have neither the time nor the inclination to do it all again.

This is a matter of differing opinions, isn't it?
My point exactly.
