Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesIf we arent to obey...That depends on what you mean by "under the law." If I were a legalist, then I would say that we are justified by keeping the Law. Or say if you obey, you are righteous. If your definition of legalism, is believe we must obey what God has commanded (Law), then I'm happy to be called a legalist. Your theory is easily proven as foolishness by the simple fact that murder, lying, loving Yah or neighbor as self was not expressed at the council either. In order for one to agree with you that person must believe that murder, lying, abortion, etc is no longer necessary. You argue that since things certain things were not included, they don't have to be obeyed. Yet murder, lying, drunkeness, abortion, and love are not mentioned either. So if any of these above should be obeyed, then it is obvious that the council was not saying that only these things have to be obeyed. They didn't say that. If you believe murder, lying, drunkenness, and abortion are wrong, which is not mentioned here, you cannot say that all that they have to obey was mentioned there. That is contradiction. Basic logic and reasoning proves that right and scripture does as well. If they went over everything that is to be obeyed, why didn't they say anything about loving thy neighbor, murder, lying, etc? Tell me that Aineo. And then share with us how can everything be contained in Acts 15 that gentiles should obey, if there things are not? He said that he rebuked him for not eating with gentiles, which he did before certain men came from James. I don't disagree with that. But where does Paul say that he rebuked Cephas/Peter for saying that all believers must keep the Law? Let me comment on the underlined portion. Phi 3:6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. So you are saying that one who was blameless, concerning the righteousness which is in the law did not obey it? If I say, I'm blameless, concerning the law of the United States, but I don't obey them, what would you say of me? You cannot be blameless concerning a law that you do not obey. What Law(s) are you saying that Paul did not obey? Or have you been put in your place, unable to find any? Love Always, |
