Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesIf we arent to obey...I do not only accept scripture that suits me. All of them prove what I'm saying, it is your understanding of those scriptures that I don't accept. It is also you understanding of those scriptures that contradict the scriptures I present to you because your understanding is error. The first question, I have answered enough times. I'm the one saying we must obey the NT and the OT and that their message is one cohesive unit, so what is the point of your last question? Now to your comment about sin and death... Paul says the law is holy, just, and good. Yet you refer to it as sin and death. Why does your view of the Law defer from Paul's so greatly? Paul says, I delight in the Law of Yahuwah. Then he says I see another law (not the Law of God but another one) taking him into captivity to the law of sin, which is in his members. The Law of God he claims is just, holy, and good, after the inward man. While calling the law of sin, another law (again not the Law of God but another one) which is after the flesh. You foolishly call the Law of God, the law of sin and death. Where is your discernment Aineo? Why do you call that which is Holy sin and death?
Was that which is good (the Law of God) made death unto me? God forbid or certainly not. Why don't you believe Paul? He just said the Law of God is not death or a Law of sin and death to him. You contradict his words. So you ask,
Now staying in context here. Paul says there is no codemnation to who? Those in Christ who do not walk according to the flesh. What did we just learn? Let me quote myself, Then he says I see another law (not the Law of God but another one) taking him into captivity to the law of sin, which is in my members (the flesh). He says there is no condemnation to who? Those who walk according to the spirit (the inward man). What did we just learn? Again I will quote self, The Law of God he claims is just, holy, and good, after the inward man Those walk after the inward man, do not reject the Law of God, they delight in it. While those who walk according to the flesh, are brought into the captivity of the flesh, doing that which is contrary to God's law. The law of sin and death, is simply the disobedience of the flesh. Joh 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. Those who transgress the law are brought into the captivity of transgressing the law and they fall prey to the law of sin and death in their members. They serve the flesh they give in (submit) to and not the Law of God which is holy, just, and good. Do you follow the Law of God, after the inward man? Or the other law that wars against God's Law in your members (flesh)? If you are not following the former, then you are in captivity to the law of sin and death, living according to the flesh. There is no middle ground. The inward man is for the Law, while the flesh wars against it. Again there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh (that which wars against God's Law), but according to the Spirit (that which delights in His Law). Those who do the will of the Father are those who are Christ's brethren.
