I will make it simple to you. I don't wanna bugging you with all those criterias. I will ask you with just one criteria.
So….now you have gone from 10 down to just one….?
As I said, nothing wrong about your exegesis.
If there is nothing wrong with it, and you cannot thwart it, then you need to embrace it…
The problem is the way you interpret it. To interpret a verses, you need to learn the history of the verse. The history when the verse created (if you don't like word "revealed").
Done.
The verse that we are talking about, existed when after the dialog between the Prophet(saw) with the Two monks from Najraan .
I posted the Azbab al Nuzul (the reason for revelation) already.
AZBAB AL NUZUL (REASONS FOR REVELATION).
Ali ibn Ahmad an Neesaboori - International Islamic Publishing House.
page, 98 -99.
About this verse.
Quote:
Quote:
The scholars of tafseer said that a delegation from Najraan said to Allah's Messenger (bpuh): "Why do you slander our Master [i.e. 'Eesa (Jesus)]?" He asked: "And what is it that I say?" They replied: "You say that he is a slave!" He answered: "Yes, he is Allah's slave and His Messenger, and His Word which He spoke to the virgin Mary." Then they became angry and said: "Have you ever seen a man without a father? If you are truthful, then show us his like!" Then Allah, Almighty, All-Powerful revealed this verse.
So this is the background of the verses we are talking about.
You canNOT IGNORE this one.
Our Prophet(saw) himself says :
-Jesus is the SLAVE of ALLAH.
- HE IS A MESSENGER.
Please answer me, when you interpret that verse, did you have alook about the history or the background of the verse?
Tell it to forum please.
Salaam
Who cares when the ayah in question was supposedly written…?
The fact of the matter is that it contains Biblical material that was written hundreds of years
BEFORE it even showed up in your book of faith in the first place.
If you want to understand the “history” of the ayah, then look to its Biblical source.
Time to break the grip of Islam…
