Wars, natural disasters, plagues, famines, and etc. have been going on since before the birth of Jesus, but to have the specific prophecies come to fruition (including the Jews returning to Israel) all at the same time has never before happened at the same time in history until May 1948 and the recent pandemics that are sweeping the globe. Jesus said the generation that sees these things will not pass away before He returns. So depending on how long you consider a generation to be, the time is near for His return. A person born in 1948 and lives 70 years will die in 2018 if 1948 is the date for the reestablishment of Israel. However some assign 1963 to the establishment of Israel since that is the year Israel conquered the Siani Peninsula, which means a person born a person born in 1963 could expect to see the Lord return by 2133.
Like I posted only time will tell. BTW, the last prophecy that needed to be fulfilled was the Jews return to the Holy Land, although some think the Temple has to be rebuilt.
That's interesting, I know the Jehovahs witnesses use the 1914 date instead of the 1948 date. And given that the maximum age a human can live these days is 120 years - that would take us to 2034 or 2068 depending on which date you uses. Or 2083 if you are using the 1963 date.
