ArchivedDinosaurs?I personally wouldn't say that they teach of a "totally explainable origin"... They teach that the origins of the universe are able to be scientifically explained to a point... After taking an astronomy class, and having 3 children in public schools, I can honestly say that we've all been told that there are MANY theories as to what began the chemical reaction that started the universe and that we've been referred to our belief systems to find our own truths. I agree that ID is not a science... I don't understand how saying that "given enough time" can be viewed as an excuse, though. Even if you are correct and all creatures that exist now were created whole and as they are now, they've been here for how long?!?!? You can't really expect an experiment that took thousands of years to be repeated successfully in onlt a hundred years? I think that that's a bit unreasonable... BTW, I subscribe to the Creation to Evolution theory so I'm not fighting you on the creation thing, only asking that you look at this statement realistically. Though as I said above, I don't believe that to be the case... That's where it becomes your job as a parent to teach your children your beliefs. Even if Creationism were taught in schools, it would still be a standardised version of it that may not fit in with your beliefs. Again, that's why it's the parent's responsibility to teach their children their beliefs. |
