Greetings GM,
Perhaps I was not as clear as I intended. I base my comment upon an experience my wife witnessed just about 2 weeks ago. My son at baseball practice when another lad on the team approached and began asking the other boys in the dugout if they were christians. Since we live in the bible belt, most of the boys were responding in the positive.
My son, thankfully, was up at bat and missed out on the interrogation. What type of response do you think my son would have gotten when he replied in the negative?
I grew up in the christian church. I personally converted to christianity in college and spent the next decade or so in the church. I am quite experienced with how christians of all ages tend to exercise some manner of moral superiority whenever they encounter a non-believer. I still battle those feelings of superiority (leftovers from my christian past), especially now when I discuss religious topics with christians.
