Christian/Muslim ThreadsBefore Jesus(pbuh), Monotheism or trinitySardab: You put your analogy of the cake, surely newseed knew what you meant. Now I need to rephrase your analogy's wordings. Once upon a time there was a very rich and knowledgeable man. He made a very special cake of flour and sugar. However, because of his profound knowledge, this cake had a great healing power. He invited friends and neighbours and all ate and all felt great after this feast. This very rich man had a servant. This servant, seeing the great healing powers of the cake, took part of the left over. This servant went to his native land few months after the great feast and took the small part of the cake he managed to salvage with him. When this servant reached his native land, he proclaimed for all around that he will make a feast. He took this small part of the cake and crushed it and added flour and sugar to it. He made a big cake out of this mixture. He gave to all his relatives and friends. Some of these were sick. He hoped that they will be cured as did those who had the cake done by his master. He was disappointed that these cures did not materialise. When the vacation of the servant came to an end, he went back to the land of his master. There he knew a great sage. The servant asked the sage: why did my cake not cure the sick as my master’s cake? The great sage told the servant: my son, it is only One who can make cakes that cure people, but your cake was just an imitation. I think you get the idea! |
