yet to think that salvation is personal (islam) is allready contradicting that salvation is a gift from God (christianity) and not something you work on. In that way a christians does good deeds out of gratefullness and trying to repay as much you can for that gift, and not working towards something in the hope that you will get salvation or not.
secondly i don't believe Allah of Islam had in mind universal salvation, i don't think Allah was sure of himself either:
Allah isn't sure who gets salvation
- Salvation is for Jews, Christians, and Sabaeans [5]
- Salavation is Only for Muslims [3]
either if -whoever wrote the quran- ment universal salvation, it would only include the people of the book, the verdict for other religions like hindu's, parsis and buddhists was death.
secondly neither does the bible teach anyware that salvation is universal... it's only trough Christ that you will see the father. (John 11:25).
"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"" -- Matthew 28:18-19
Muslim try to have it both ways by saying 'we believe in Jesus too'. But that's a shallow remark, if you look at who Isa is, then he isn't your saviour and Lord... according to Islam he's just a prophet like the ones from the old covenant, teaching things from the old covenant... according to Islam the law was never nailed to the cross.
Neither does anything at all indicate that Islam is a religion that came from God... i suggest you always study a religion first before you accept it's authority without question, first on historical issues then on theological ones... cause where would that end if you didn't? could you not include all religions to the point of absurdness?
