May main point, that his brothers were trying to get him arrested still stands. They were goading him into going because of that verse, "because even his brothers did not believe him". They had an underlying motive for trying to get him to go when the authorities had started putting out the feelers for him.
If they had capture him, it seems to me, the would have arrested and tried him, because that's what they had in mind. That's why Jesus didn't go at his brothers' behest.
