ArchivedDid Jesus Lie?Hello Nickatwarwick!
In order for you to attain a better understanding of the Nature of Christ you must understand the impeccability and the temptability of Christ. Basically the idea of the temptability of Christ is to be appealed to, Christ was in sense tempted but He was not tempted with evil nor was He tempted with evil desires.....for (God cannot be tempted with evil), neither tempteth he any man: James 1:13 So as God He could not be tempted with Evil. The impeccability of Christ means that He as God could not have sinned, the very attributes of God made it impossible for Him to son when He was tempted. 2 Corinthians 5:21 - For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. If you study the word of God very carefully you will notice that at the time of Christs Temptations, He did not rely on His attributes but on the very Word of God to resist the temptation of Satan. This is Exactly the same way a Christian overcomes His/Her Temptations. God Bless! |
