Hello Helix
OK I have read your post that you linked to and I have a few questions and opinions for you.
I hope this is not cross posting or a violation of the rules but since the two subjects are so closely related.
Quote from other article
The instinct to obey those that are higher in rank can be clearly seen in dogs. Wolfs have a hierarchy as well, and dogs (being bred from wolves) seem to have an instinctive urge to obey the alpha male (which should be the owner of the dog).
If the other dogs do not obey, the Alpha male will do what? there will be a physical fight. This is not instinct is it? It is a fight pure and simple.
Opinion: the linked article dose not explain how a dog will follow a God
you merly state that
I asked myself 'why did we evolve into a religious beings''? To some of you, this must seem like a contradicto in terminis, but I think I do have a way to explain religion scientifically.
You are ASSUMING that we evolved into religious beings. what do you base that opinion on?
In the previous article you wrote
...I think that religion is a way of serving a hypothetical alpha-male, because you instinctively want to.....
Question Do you serve a hypothetical Alpha male? if it is instinct you must serve one as well RIGHT.....?
Now since this topic follows the previous one I'll start with the questions for this post.

My point is that none of the 'characteristics' of humans are truly human. Both selfishness and group labour (like that of ants) are present in nature. Not even 'love' (which is often stated as THE thing that sets humans apart from the animals) is something truly human.
Please give me a scientific example of and animal beliving in GOD
ALL form of moral (or immoral) behaviour benefit the survival of the species. This is the main theme, that can be applied to all form of behaviour we see in animals (including humans).
Where does faith in God fit in here by your thinking?
