God Bless you brethren,
Perhaps we could take a deeper look into our understanding of what we should and should not eat.
I know that we have heard the story of the flood and how two of every kind of animal was taken onto the ark, or was it two of every kind?
Gen. 7:2,3 reads; Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.
Gen. 9:2,3 reads; The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
Lev. 11:2,3; In truth the whole of the chapter should be read however we will read here the 2nd & 3rd verses;
"Say to the Israelites: Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat: You may eat any animal that has a split hoof completely divided and that chews the cud.
Acts 10:11-15 He (Peter) saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat." "Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean." The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
Of course I have my understanding of these scriptures, however I would be greatly interested to hear some of your beliefs as to what meanings these text have.
God Bless and enjoy your walk with God.
