Why do you pray to Mary? Or any other apostle or saint or anyone but God?
Catholics believe the Bible, right? Why don't many of the teachings of the Bible seem to be evident in Catholicism? Like 1 Timothy 2:5,
- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Why would you want to pray to a saint when you could pray straight to God Himself through His Son, Jesus?

Also, my pastor always says...
- "We're just like the catholics - we follow all of Mary's commandments. Turn to John 2:5 to see a list of all of Mary's commandments.
John 2:5 - His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it..
That's it. That's all Mary ever commanded. And we follow that commandment!"
Why is it that the one commandment Mary gave is not really followed in the Catholic religion? I mean, if a pope comes along and says to do something that Jesus said not to do, you follow the pope, rather than Jesus. But Mary, whom you so venerate, said to follow Jesus, not the pope or anyone else. Why then would you follow anyone but Jesus, since that's what Mary said to do?
