Apologetics Forum: Ask questions about Christianity/Debate doctrinesOnce Saved always Saved Clarified by Jesus Himself! If a person does not understand and does not receive seed is a unsaved listener and unbeliever. A true believer understands and hears the message of the Gospel and produces fruit as evidence. The seed that fell among stony places is one who does understand with his heart because lack of depth within his heart., having once received with joy and therefore stopped producing fruits which makes him an unbeliever. And the one who receive seeds among the thorns get caught up in the cares of this world and therefore fall away, making him an unbeliever because a genuine believer is not worldly but is born of the spirit which is against worldly desires. Example:1 John 2:15 - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Further proving that he never had God to begin with, but is carnally minded and not spiritual. Flesh gives birth to flesh and spirit gives birth to spirit. One who is born of the Spirit no longer desires worldy desires. And last but not least, the one who receives seed on good ground is one who understands, hears, and lives the Christian life as suppose to, and therefore bearing forth fruit which is a sure sign of a Genuine Believer and a saved person. |
