Apologetics Forum: Ask questions about Christianity/Debate doctrinesOnce Saved always Saved Clarified by Jesus Himself! But you choosing to leave the Lord is your way of "forcing" yourself to leave the Lord. And the verse says no man, not even yourself. But your belief that OSAS is not true means that it is impossible for a Christian to live carnally, right? If you're saved, you're not living carnally. And if you're living carnally, you're not saved. This is what you believe, right? But if you're not saved, then God classifies you as "natural." Why would God through Paul differentiate among three types of people if there are not in fact three types of people - 1) unsaved, 2) saved and living right, and 3) saved but not living right. Your belief only has room for two types - 1) saved and 2) not saved. .... but a spiritual Christian does? Careful there..... that's starting to sound like you're saying we need to work ("overcome the world and our desires" being a work) to get into heaven. I'm sorry - I'm not too familiar with gay theology. But I will say that any theology is a valid one for those who reject God's truth. As easy as it is for you to say that about me, I can easily claim the same about you. If I follow your reasoning works-salvation (again, overcoming being the work) is a valid theology for those who reject God's truth about salvation through faith alone. |
