we have already discussed this. Its funny how you take verses and passages out of context.
Only traditions approved by the Apostles and recorded in the Scriptures are authority for acts and practices of the Lord’s church.
The Apostles derived their authority from Christ and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 16:19; John 16:13).
The Holy Spirit taught the Apostles all things one needed to know about the will of God (John 14:16, 26; 15:26; 16:7-15). Thus, the Apostles were uniquely able to guide the early church (Acts 2:42; 1 Cor. 15:3-11). The Apostles and other inspired writers used this knowledge to write the New Testament (2 Pet. 1:20-21).
The Scriptures instruct us to follow the traditions of Christ and the Apostles.
Paul said "keep the traditions as I delivered them" (1 Cor. 11:2; see also 2 Tim. 2:2).
He instructed the Thessalonians to "hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle" (2 Thess. 2:15).
Paul established the church in Thessalonica (Acts 17:1-4), and wrote the church two epistles, it is evident that he was referring to the traditions taught by his inspired "word" or "epistle." Paul also instructed the Thessalonians to "withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us" (2 Thess. 3:6).
Tradition is biblical! Now Aieno you do the same and show me Sola Scripture in biblical light!
Peace
Ah yes the less than nobel-minded Thessalonians.
Acts 17:10-11
10 And the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea; and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so. NAS
The Bereans accepted and practiced Sola Scriptura! Any person who searches the Scriptures can discover for themselves the number of Catholic "traditions" are pulled from pagan mythology and worship.
As to Apostolic traditions, if St. Augustine teaches that the "rock upon which Christ built His church was Himself, that particular tradition is false. St. Augustine is credited with formulating modern Christianity is one of the RCC proclaimed church fathers.
In his 13th sermon, preserved I believe by divine intent, Augustine made his belief perfectly clear.
“Thou art Peter, and on this Rock – petra – which thou hast confessed,
on this rock which thou hast known, saying: ‘Thou art Christ, the Son
of the living God,’ I will build my church upon Myself, who am the Son
of the living God; I will build it on Me, and not Me on thee.”
Moreover, Augustine’s conviction – based on a correct interpretation of the Scriptures - that Jesus Himself was the foundation rock of Christianity, was shared almost 100% by the churches existing at that time.

Now, can you show me where "your traditions" are founded in Scripture? Even Catholic apologists admit there is little to no Biblical evidence to establish the Marian doctrines.
Matt 24:4-5
"See to it that no one misleads you. 5 "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many. NAS
How much do you know about your own churches teachings?
When Pope Pius IX was Archbishop of Venice, he stated: 'The pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, but he is Jesus Christ Himself, hidden under the veil of the flesh. Does the pope speak? It is Jesus Christ who speaks. Does the pope accord a favour or pronounce an anathema? It is Jesus Christ who accords the favour or pronounces that anathema. So that when the pope speaks we have no business to examine.'

This RomeSweetHome is heresy and blasphemy based on Roman Catholic Church "traditions".
The perpetual virginity of Mary can be shown Scripturally to be false and I can show this in the OT, the Scriptures available to the Bereans.
Ps 69:8-9
8 I have become estranged from my brothers,
And an alien to my mother's sons.
9 For zeal for Thy house has consumed me,
And the reproaches of those who reproach Thee have fallen on me. NAS
Add to this the Greek "adelphos" and "adelphe" are
never[/be] used in the Bible to indicate a blood relationship other than the brothers and sisters born of the same mother when kinsmen are the context.
Your "traditions" cannot be established Biblically or even historically.
