TraditionAieno Wrote There are no married Priests in the Latin or western Roman Catholic church, like I said this is the custom, But the Eastern Catholic churchs each with its individual rites may marry. By the way all Eastern Catholic churches (except the Maronite Church which has always been in full communion with Rome.) used to be Orthodox which broke away in 1054AD but returned in full communion with the Pope,as their supreme head. That is why Rome has given them permisstion to marry because as you stated the Orthodox Priests may marry and they used to be Orthodox therefore the church allowed them to keep their individual rites, as long as they dont contradict any Church Dogma.
