The context of the verse states that any person who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, which does not prove anything about purgatory, it teaches there is one sin that leads straight to the lake of fire.
What happened to once saved always saved?
What happened to the death Jesus died to save me from the Lake?
I don't accept OSAS as a valid doctrine. So if you were waiting for that defense you won't get it?

There are no NT Scriptures that teach purification after death, and only the non-canonical book of 2 Maccabees refers to such a “traditional” belief developed after the close of the canon. No prophet of God or Moses mentions or alludes to a “period of purification” after death.
First of all we accept it as canonical! Second Jews believe in Purgatory.
What is canonical to you? how do you decide which is canonical?
Did your church decide this?
I believe I have linked to a site that answers this question more than once. However, here it is again, but I doubt you will read it.
Canon of the OT PT 1,
Canon of the OT PT 2,
DEUTERO-CANONICAL, BOOKS Canon of the NT As to what the Jews believe, they had to come up with something after the Temple was destroyed. I also find it interesting that you appeal to the Jews when it is convenient and then trash the Jews when it is convenient. First you agree with the Pope about the zionist movement and now you agree with the Jews concerning the zionist movement and purgatory. Hypocrisy is not becoming to anyone at any time.

The fact this book was not even accepted as part of the Catholic Bible until the Protestant reformation calls this "doctrine" into question. It comes across as a self-serving addition to Scripture to maintain control of Catholics. The date 2 Maccabees was written is another cause for rejecting it as canon.
Actually it was declared canonical because it was at the time of the reformation that it came into question by Luther, that the church made it canonical, but it was always accepted as divine Scripture.
Peace
It is interesting how Church Councils make things dogma and doctrine after the fact. You only proved my point.
One thing that got you in trouble the first time around was the sarcasm. If you can't take the heat and resorting to sarcasm is your only defense, then take it else where.
