Christian/Muslim ThreadsCaner Brothers Video DiscussionPeace, So let me get this straight. He didn't break the law when one is not to do any works on the Sabbath? He performed a work on the Sabbath. He "broke" the law according to Moses. His point was that He was trying to show them that they cannot abide by just the Law alone. What about with Mary? According to the law, they were supposed to stone her to death. 8) However Jesus did save her. Was that not another "law" break? ops: See only God Himself can command such things and ultimately He was trying to teach them Love. THAT was His inclined message.
There is a difference between Moses' law and God's Law. Do you know that? "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27). For Christians, the Sabbath is on Sunday. This is a time for us to show our love for God together as a community too. We shouldn't be doing the usual things [work] as we do during the week. See, God worked for 6 days and rested on the 7th. For Christians this is Sunday. The "first" day of the week. Please read Acts 20:7 and 1 Cor. 16:2 if you need more clarification on that. Actually do you not know all of Moses' Law that includes you to not eat pork? 8) From Exodus to Leviticus, they have tonz of laws along with Deutermony that are for the children of Israel, not the gentiles. The Christians follow the 10 Commandments and Christ's Law. Not Moses. Our sabbath is Sunday. The Jews Saturday I think? Muslims are Friday, right? Well I beg to differ about that. Did you read the New Testamentl? Because Jesus didn't go around criticizing the Jews as you would like to think. It would be the other way around. The Jews [Pharisees and Saducess and scribes to be exact] found fault in Jesus and sought out to kill Him because they felt threatened by Him. Honestly from my readings of the koran, I find no love in it except for self pleasure hiding behind "allah" Thank you, same to you, my friend. |
