Ani:
Well lets see, many gay activist want to appeal to ancient Greece for justification of their lifestyle. I quote the Bible they quote Aristotle, Plato, etc. Women were never considered subhuman in the Bible nor were Blacks considered slaves and dirty. Moses was married to an Ethiopian, and the slaves kept by the Hebrews were conquered Semitic enemies. It was not until Europeans, white Europeans, got control of governments, the Catholic Church, etc. that some of what you state was true.
As to chopping off hands, treating women as chattels -- that is Islam and they still do it today. Knowledge has increased but human nature has not changed. The rich and powerful still lord it over the weak and the poor, some whites consider the dark races inferior and some dark races consider whites inferior.
Have we come so far? Not really.
As to do I know any gay people, hundreds and most are not effeminate. Maybe you need to take your own advice and move into the 21st century with a modern translation of the Bible unless you prefer Elizabethan English as your primary language. The word translated effeminate in the KJV can also be translated catamite, which was the passive partner is gay sex.
