I guess that's the point you're driving at. But I do agree with twohumble that God has used this ability in certain instances. Like the "Pharoah" example. And also as it pertains to the doctrine of election. God has chosen before hand those that are elect, and only those who He has chosen will He draw to Himself, and only those that He draws to Himself will become saved. If we could "make a choice for God," then that would be something that we could do on our own to earn salvation. But the Bible teaches that we can do nothing to earn salvation, so the work must be totally God's. Therefore, God does foredefine who will become saved because it is He that elects them unto salvation. |
