Science, Creation & EvolutionPhilosophy: free or determined will and the character of GodGod, in the person of Jesus, voluntarily set aside the glory that was His to take on the form of a man so he could die for our sins. God could destroy the world at any moment, but He chooses not to exercise that power, so you could say He is limiting His power. God took away the hedge of protection that was around Job to allow Satan to attack him. God chose to limit His power here, too. Paul asked 3 times for the Lord to take away his thorn in the flesh. But God didn't - He said "My grace is sufficient for you." The idea of God limiting Himself is not unprecedented. |
