Science, Creation & EvolutionPhilosophy: free or determined will and the character of God :: Re: Philosophy: free or determined will and the character ofRe: Philosophy: free or determined will and the character of The answer lies in the multidimensional aspects of God. He is transcendent to our plains of existence. He created "height, width, lenght, and time", which are the 4 dimensions in which we live and interact. God is the creator of these dimensions, but is not bound by them as we are. God may well predestine His creation in his omnitemporal existence, while we full well experience our choices in this time line of ours dispite that in Gods reality He has laid out our lives in great detail. In regard to your question of "how can we be held accountable": I don't know. Romans 9 asks this very question, and tells us we are accountable, hence this is a mystery beyond our ability to grasp in our limited perspective. Its one of Gods mysteries. Good book for a perspective on this is "Flatland", about people in a 2 dimensional world, and what their perspective would be like. |
