Comparing Koran to Bible
They both claim divine authorship, yet they contradict each other. God is not schizophrenic, so one must be wrong. There are things in both books which are of supernatural origin, yet there are things only in the Bible that COULD ONLY have come from God. See post "Only way to positively identify God." Muslims say that Mohammhed was the greatest prophet, Mormons say that Joseph Smith was the greatest prophet. In both cases, both religions cannot even establish that they were prophets at all, much less, "greatest" prophets. The Bible is diffferent. Its prophets made prophecies by the scores that came true exactly as pronounced. Yes, the books must be compared; and judged on the basis of cold objectivity, not on the basis of emotional tradition. Just because my family believes something has no bearing on whether or not it is true. If it is false, I must abandon it even if it means being cast out of my family. Our very first allegience is to God, not family.
