Hi there, everybody.
I'm posting here to ask you all a few simple questions:
What exactly makes being gay "wrong?"
How does being gay hurt anybody?
Why doesn't god like homosexuality?
And most importantly:
How could a being intelligent enough to create a universe as beautiful as ours be ignorant enough to send people to hell (or 'allow people to choose to go to hell', as I'm sure all you people will tell me. Because you know, everyone wants to swim in a lake of fire for all eternity. ) for being gay, or for any sin, period?
I'm interested in your opinions, because we're discussing homosexuality in religion class right now, and it's a very hot debate. I'd like to hear what some....more devout Christians have to say on the matter.
And for the record, I am neither Atheist nor Christian, nor anything else. I think it's pretty arrogant to assume that your own view on how the universe was created/works is correct, so I try to stay open to any views. In my eyes, God may or may not exist; it doesn't really matter either way, since we have no way of knowing during this life. Just thought I'd throw that out there, so you'd all understand where I'm coming from.
