Quran and Bible debateIs Jesus Creation Truly Like Unto Adams? That is partially true. Yes, it was a miracle that Jesus was born without a Father. And, as it may seem to some, technology provides a way for women to have kids without having to be (1) un-chaste and (2) having a husband. However, it is impossible to not have a donor, who would undoubtedly qualify in one way or another as a 'father.' In the case of Jesus, who is the donor that qualifies as the father? Who does it say is the one that planted the seed? Is the miracle really that easy to mimic? But the miracle is in the fact that healing occurred without the need of medicine. Also, does the healing by medicine go without other effects? Every medication has to have a label advising of side effects -- some of which could be more dangerous than the original illness! The healing by the power of the Holy Spirit does not come with side effects. Not necessarily... but this is besides the point. The original issue is that this comparison neither rejects, nor confirms Jesus' status as either divine or son of God. It only testifies to the power of God, but nothing else. Again, the Qu'ran attempts to put to rest the debate of Jesus divinity, by point to Adam, but the comparison does not actually address the problem. The Qu'ran fails to explain what the purpose of this miracle is -- we know what Adam's purpose was, so we understand his creation. But what is Jesus' purpose to be formed in such way? |
