How do I contract myself when I point out that many skeptics and Muslims can and do draw comparisons between Christianity and pagan myths? Parts of Catholic dogma mirror the Isis/Osiris/Horus myth, Jesus having a divine nature mirrors the Jupiter/Alcmena/Hercules myth.
You interpret Philippians and John to show Jesus has a divine nature, which ignores that Hebrews explicitly tells us that Jesus has a nature like ours, but is the exact representation of God's nature. Jesus tells us that all of his authority was given to him by the Father. Jesus tells us that if we remain in him and his words we will do greater works than he did. So do we have a divine nature? If your definition of "divine" is "from God", then all human beings are "divine" since their "spirit" is from God. But then so are all the animals that breath.
You are assuming that those who read your post accept the same definition of "divine" as you intend "divine" to be defined.
