Joseph, my library of books that led me to reject the Trinity is Genesis through Revelation. In plain language I have taken God at His word and rejected as authoritative the words of men who have decided that "echad" does not mean "one" and all the other philosophical rhetoric required to prove Peter did not mean what he said in Acts 2 and 5, and what Paul wrote in his epistles.
I am not going to rehash on this thread what has been posted on other threads, specifically the threads in the Trinity Debate Forum. However, why appeal to what the Pharisees said when the Pharisees rejected their own Messiah? Jesus never claimed to be God; Peter, John, James, and Paul did not write that Jesus is God. Peter, John, and Paul wrote that Jesus is a man who was highly exalted to God's right hand.
Justin Martyr is considered the first Christian apologist, now if you have information that refutes this I would be interested in reading it. And no I do not accept Martyr's binitarianism. The Bible is clear to those with eyes to see and ears to hear that God is one not three.
