Okay, Mr. Jenkins said "you TYPE of Christians". What other type is there? Being a Christian means believing the Bible-
2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thorouly furnished unto all good works."
It is alright to be a baby Christian. I understand where you are coming from. I have been in the same position as you. But, the truth in found in God's word.
Hebrews 5:12-14- "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses excercised to discern both good and evil."
2 Timothy 2:15- "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashambed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Romans 1:24-28- "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleaness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their bodies between themselves; Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause, God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient."
So, Your spirit should rejoice when you hear the words of God because they are true. If you are holding on to things that God's word says are wrong, that makes you not want to read the Bible- and in the end- not like to retain God in your knowledge. That is what faith is all about- God's words are a gift of truth- to be taken by faith as true - practicing what God's word says is how we see what God is talking about.
