Homosexual Discussion Forumalright, im really sick of you type of ChristiansI will commit one last retort. I was not the one who started the bickering about differences in words you did. From my studies as a Bible student and Ancient Hebrew and Greek text I as well as many others and as many more even including those of renowned linguists offer up that indeed allot of the Bible when translated into English loses it original meaning. As there are many instances that original Hebrew and Greek text do not offer meanings for as you put it, modern day terms. This in no way means I invalidate the authenticity of the Bible or its purpose. So do not offer up that, that is what I am saying. I only offered up a definition of one word Eunuch and because Ancient Hebrew and Greek had no word for Gay or Homosexual in its original context Ancient writings inferred words other than those of today's modern man. Homosexual as a word was used to coin a man whom had sexual relations with another man but not until the early 19th century. If we go and relate your theories than one would assume then that ancient Hebrew and Greek must of had words for things such as Cars, Airplanes, Trains, Helicopters, etc.ect; And of course we know they didn't. But the derivative of these words that WE use today come from derivatives of Ancient Greek, Roman and Hebrew languages. |
