Christian/Muslim ThreadsThe Quran and Questions About Christianity
Abdullah, you neglected to read the whole point, and I doubt you read the Deuteronomy 13 reference. There are TWO conditions of prophecy; 1) They must come true. 2) They must be spoken in the name of YAHWEH It is debateable whether Muhammads prophecies actually satisfy the first condition. But it is dead certain that Muhammad DID NOT satisfy the second condition by speaking in the name of YAHWEH. False Prophets are able to make correct prophecies but they show their falsity by speaking in the name of other than YAHWEH. I implore you to to read Deuteronomy 13.
None of the Biblical Prophets ever knew God by the name Allah. If you are to claim that Allah means "The God", then that is a title and not a name. How are we to know one "The God" from another "The God", or one "Allah" from another "Allah"? By his own personal name, which is YAHWEH, which Muhammad neglected to mention. In the Bible God is known by the following names/titles; YAHWEH ELOHIM ELOH EL EL-SHADDAI EL-ELYON EYAH EHEYAH ASHER EHEYAH YAH NONE OF THESE NAMES ARE TRANSLATIONS OF ALLAH! I'll provide the Arabic translations for some of the above names; ELOHIM (Heb) = AALIHAT (Arb) ELOH (Heb) = ILAH (Arb) EL (Heb) = IL (Arb) NONE OF THEM TRANSLATE TO ALLAH! |
