ArchivedAnswering Aineo. You are making a futile argument here. Don't argue in terms of technical differences since one word can have different meanings. Therefore, argue in terms of what is meant within context. External life in Christianity means that once we resurrect and are with Christ, we will not die again. It has nothing to do with whether we had a beginning or didn't have a beginning.
I'm not saying that just because something is popular, then it is legit. I am saying that if a God exists, He is not capricous. He will let Himself be known to many (especially in the claiming of the existance of other gods). If He is capricous, then what is the point of even seeking His will or trying to find out what life is all about? If this was the case, I might as well live by the dictates of my flesh. Also, the manuscript evidence is just to show that its teachings have not been tampered with through the generations. As for the Shastra, don't even compare it with the Holy Bible. You imply popularity does not necessarily determine truth, but no other book is scrutinized more than the Holy Bible either, and the Bible even mentions that people would do that to top it off! I don't see the usual skeptics in their carnal mind trying to tear to peices the Shastra, but then again, I don't see as much people embracing it either. |
