ArchivedAnswering Aineo. My point is that Christians cannot account for the judgement that constituted us taking birth in the first place. They say that we are products of our parents who were products of their parents, on and on, starting from Adam and Eve. But in this way yall cannot account for the individual souls. If we are forced to take birth in sin because of what some other individual souls did, then those souls are responsible for our salvation. If we are all responsible for ourselves then it must have been that we (as individuals) did something that constituted us falling into sin. Let me give you a Biblical example. John 9:1-2: And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? (KJV) The question itself implies the possibility of this man sinning before he was born. Of course, Jesus answered this by saying, John 9:3: Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. (KJV) Although, this answer obviously does not apply to all people. Not all blind people are healed. So my question is, why didn't Jesus condemn the implication of this question? How could this person have sinned before he was born if he didn't exist until he was born? Now, existing prior to birth does not necessarily constitute reincarnation. But then my question is, for what reason did the souls take shelter in a material body at all? God IS known to many. So what are you talking about? As far as the rest of this goes... Your key phrase is, "I don't see". So what am I to do about it? Even if I get into the major scrutinizations done by scholars and atheists of the Vedic Shastra, what difference would it make? There are many people who embrace the Shastra, to some degree or another. Unfortunately, modern day "hinduism" is a watered down version of the original system of religion. Nevertheless, that is expected in this age of quarrel. Both the Bible and the Vedas teach that mankind is degrading and will continue to do so until the very end. So to point out that the Vedas aren't as popular as the Bible may only go to show this degradation in practical effect. |
