Apple Pie wrote:I’m glad to hear that you accept the Biblical Jesus as your Lord and Savior… Jesus is God.
Jesus never claimed to be God, in fact He said:
- "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I." (John 14:28)
Jesus said He was ONE with God, and, as the Firstfruits of the resurrection, will join us, the Sons and Daughters of God, after He has given the Kingdom over to the Father.
At which time we will all be One with God as Jesus is today.
- "For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all." (1 Corinthians 15:25-28)
The very idea of a Triune God is of pagan Roman origin. The doctrine was the result of compromise - and offered the attractive feature of an Elite Jesus removed from humanity whose Life would be impossible to emulate, thus none could ever overcome sin through Him but must be absolved through the church - through confession, etc...
There is but one God - Whom also Jesus leads us to worship in Spirit and Truth. That monotheistic concept is stated in the Bible time and time again:
- "Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear." (Isaiah 45:21-23)
And...
- "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory." (Isaiah 46:9-13)
This is the God of the Jews, which is the God of Islam, which is the God of Jesus Christ.
I hope you're not one of the people who follow the Roman custom of making the Word of God through His prophets of none effect by taking other verses from the Bible to cancel the Authority of God by His prophets.
For God has not made His Character as expressed by Jews in the Bible a confused chaos that requires man to sort out for others, as the Nicene Council attempted to do in order to lord their authority over otherwise uncontrollable early Christians.
The goal of the Plan of Salvation is that we His Creations become One with God as Jesus became One with Him. Any doctrine that makes that impossible contradicts God's Word.
God's Promise of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ:
- "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." (Jeremiah 31:33-34)
However, would you also take the Koranic Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
"The Koranic Jesus"? I wonder if you realize what you're saying here.
Jesus is not our creation to apply to our religions or denominations as we see fit in order to exalt ourselves over others, rather Jesus Himself represents the salvation of all men and women through God's Everlasting Mercy.
The Jesus of the Qur'an, as His Oneness with Allah (pbuh) is acknowledged as He claimed He was One with Allah (pbuh), is my Lord and Savior just as the God of Israel (Allah) is my Lord and Savior.
It appears from your writings that you deny the Biblical concept of a triune Creator God of the Universe, and, instead think that the Koran may aid you in your position…..is this correct…?
The Qur'an is not necessary to understand that the "Triune" creator God is a pagan concept, as illustrated above. All you need is faith in God's Word through His prophets and Jesus Christ.
Would I also be correct in stating that you are a JW….?
I am a Jew on the order of Abraham, a friend of the Long-Feathered Eagle of diverse colors. I am a virgin of the Seven Women of Revelation, I work 24/7 in the Temple of God where the Lamb of God leads me to fountains of Living Waters... I am a base and foolish servant of all, a sinner of sinners, but I keep His White Robe pulled tightly about me at all times.
I also carry a palm branch in my hand, praying for His return day and night.
Also, if you feel that the Koran is inspired by Yahweh, then why do Mussulmans deny Jesus as their Lord and Savior, counter to what you believe….? What happened…?
Because of the Qur'an's nature of direct Revelation (and lacking the history whereby men caused them to believe in a sacrificial system through which Mercy could only be obtained) the Arab world of the Prophet's time did not REQUIRE blood to convince them of God's Mercy.
Our ancestors, on the other hand, did.
So God gave us Blood.
There are currently three major parts to the Spiritual World God has inspired through men who earnestly sought Him...
As the part to whom much has been given, much is also expected today. We're that third part mentioned below:
- "Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God." (Zechariah 13:7-9)
Judeo-Christianity is the chosen part. Things will deteriorate until we return to God:
- "And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes." (Ezekiel 36:23)
- "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts..." (Malachi 3:7)
We are the New Covenant generation of which He said:
- "Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." (Matthew 23:36-39)
Jesus taught us how to live godly lives before those whom God Wills to save. It's time to begin living His teachings and not just using His Name in vain for the salvation of ourselves.
