I did read the article closely and I did see the section you cut and pasted, however, having sex and penetration are not synonymous. However, comparing one species of primate who lives by instinct alone and where “homosexual behavior” is universal and man who has the ability to think and control his actions and “homosexual behavior” is not universal is ludicrous.
As to “fey” it is an old term for gay men, which I used because the Webmaster has the word that starts with “q” blocked.
As to men being insecure, then why do women get breast implants and have more cosmetic surgery than men and spend billions on cosmetics? Here is a historical sidelight; wigs, cosmetics, and fancy apparel were originally designed and used by men for reasons of vanity not women. This was very much apparent in the 15th and 16th centuries when upper-class men routinely wore codpieces. Women are more open about sexuality; I have heard conversations among women that would make the most callus man blush.
As to sexual pleasure there is no doubt that gay sex is fun and pleasurable (if done with care since it can also be physically damaging; the human anus is not designed to be penetrated) or men would not engage in the activity. Anal receptive men can end up wearing diapers because they lose control of the sphincter muscle.
Human sexuality is not just a matter of pleasure it is a moral issue for many cultures and religions including Christianity. Animals do not have a sense of morality. In many ways animals are more “moral” than mankind since only man kills for pleasure, animals only kill for survival. If you are going to use animal studies to “prove” or show homosexuality as okay, why not use animal studies to show polygamy, fighting to win control over a harem, exposing sick infants (survival of the fittest), and all sexual activity as normal since the majority of the animal kingdom does not coddle sick infants, mate and pair for life, etc.
Another question would be why limit comparing human genetics to primates if I remember my studies correctly some “swine” are just as close to humans genetically as some primates.
The issue of homosexuality in mankind is not genetic similarities to animals it is an issue of moral values and/or religious beliefs.
