Science, Creation & EvolutionNoah catching his animals...Like to add my two cents to this discussion..... This site (http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/tools/cains_wife.asp) has some pretty good arguments about where Cain got his wife. This site speaks about a ton of topics, and I noticed it had not been linked to yet in this thread, so I thought I'd put it out there for a resource. True, God is not too keen on incest, but this law was not given to man until later. The effects of sin (genetic mutations causing retardation) would not have affected children of close relations in those times as it would today. The author if the article cited the Bible as stating that some animals became carnivorous only after the flood. Do you have some other proof, besides just what you think, that says otherwise? You don't have an argument here. All your saying is "The Bible says this, but I believe that. Therefore the Bible is absolutely crazy!" You're going to have to give some proof if you expect us to give any attention to what you say. Because they were meat-eaters. But does this imply that they always were meat-eaters? Nope. It just implies that at the time they died, they were. And I don't think so either. But again, this does not imply that just because they had "meat-eater" teeth, they were always meat-eaters. You can't look at a snapshot, split-second picture in time (which is what a fossil is), and make a conclusion that covers the whole existence of that species. For example, if a billion years from now, some alien finds a fossil of me typing at this computer, it would be illogical and incorrect for it to assume that, since my fossil is typing on a computer, our species has always been able to type on computers, for the entire history of mankind. The alien can only make one conclusion - during the split-second in time that my fossil represents, our species could type on computers. |
