Thirty five years ago it was illegal for an African American person to use the same bathroom as a white person. Just because there is a law on the records, does not make it right. If we never changed things slaves would still be picking cotton, and the owner of those slaves were devout Christians. Change does take time and these marriages may be overturned, but the tide is turning.
It is known as anarchy. California has a DOMA approved by the voters.
