Gannaed quoted passages in which Christ was condemning people. But what I specifically replied to was the idea of people condemning themselves and people condemning other people--Christ does not teach this.
Gannaed wrote:Not exactly. My definition of the "weak-minded" in that context reads more like this: "Religion is often the refuge of the weak and stupid, who feel that it justifies their point of view without them having to formulate any understanding of their position." A "weak-minded" religion in my opinion (something many of you can't stand unless it it agrees with yours) is one when your "god" (if you feel you should have one) is an "all-powerful, all knowing," being and that their religion is the only right one. When in fact, these people are often hostile to condradicting opinions, don't have many if any facts or evidence to support their claims, and when they do, they don't defend their position very well and often only go after the small stakes and don't like to even admitt that their teachings have faults or were taken from previous belief structures and mythologies totally different from theirs. Many times in the eyes of a xtian, anything good that happens is because of "god" and anything bad that happens is often referred to as "god's will," which to many others can sound like nothing more than a "weak" excuse for things they cannot explain and puts themselves in a position subject to victimization. If anything bad happens in the name "god" or jesus, it is often blamed on the "devil." It seems that many would rather blame the "devil" than realize that it is Man who has caused Man's suffering to further push their agenda in the name of their *religion.* LOOK TO THE SOURCE is all I'm saying.
So "religion is often the refuge of the weak and stupid, who feel that it justifies their point of view without them having to formulate any understanding of their position"? What does that mean seeing that you are a Satanist? Does that definition apply to you? Also, Christianity does not blame the devil for everything. In Christianity people are also responsible for their own sins. And Chrstianity is mythology? Again, Satan is the Father of all lies. Go look at the archaeological evidence and the prophecies in the Bible. No mythology there. If there is no evidence to support Christianity, where is the evidence to support Satanism? LOL.
