Re: Child Molestation is a Sin!

No actually, and unlinke in america you wont find any of those weird 'peophile societies' either, because the people deal with the molesters in rather brutal ways which others quickly learn from.
Some of the most vile Internet sales of pornography including child porn are in Russia where American laws can't touch them.
I duno if you were pushing it in the direction that *I* might have some interest of such nature in kids then youre really wrong, It sickens me physically and I cant really understand it. Seems you just compltely ignored my main argument, being the fact that knowlege and age are in different proportions to different people and that there are 'adults' out there (especially america sp) that are just as inexperienced as the 'children' in other places.
The title of this thread is Child Molestation is a Sin! Molestation impies lack of consent on the part of the child. Although children are able to make decisions at an early age, are those decisions made with full knowledge of the consequences of their decisions?
Some countries in the world wed girls as young as 13, however, the key word is "wed", not molest, or force sexual attentions on a child.
*laughs* I actually dont follow any conventional (or weird for that matter) religion and came here to talk with you people a bit to get a slightly better understanding of christianity. It seems that the whole buisness revolves around reading cloudy passages from a 2000 year old book, possibly nothing more then a bright myth and then commanding people to live by it.. Right? Wrong?
Parts of the Bible are 5000 years old and although some people choose to ignore reality, some of the Bible's accounts have been established as fact through Archeology. As to forcing people to adhere to Biblical principles that is not a teaching found in the Bible. The vast majority of the books in the New Testament were written to professed Christians and are guidelines, rules if you prefer, for living a life that honors God and Jesus Christ. As with all religions there are those who attempt to mandate, legislate, and otherwise force all citizens to accept the validity of their religion. Christianity is not a political movement, it is a personal relationship with the Creator of all you can and cannot see.
According to the United States Supreme Court new age philosophy is a religion (see definition #4 below), which by extension would mean that you personal beliefs are a religion if you promote or live by them with zeal or conscientious devotion.

There are two guiding principles in Christianity:
1) Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.
2) Love your neighbor as yourself.
As Christians we should teach or preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, which does not mean legislate our faith and/or denigrate or revile those who oppose or disagree with us.
