ArchivedOther laws in the bible...What did Jesus say about human sexuality? He did not say anything about incest, bestiality, homosexuality, or sex between unmarried people; however, He did say that God from the beginning made them male and female. You can read it for your self in Matthew 19 below. I also included the verses in Leviticus about adultery. Jesus did say that lusting after a women is the same as the act and equated lust with adultery in effect making the moral law more strenuous than the Levitical Law. Gay’s have contributed much to the quality of our lives throughout history. I can think of several in the arts such as Michelangelo and da Vinci; Tours, the gay Briton credited with inventing the digital computer during WW II; and a long list of authors, composers, etc. However, I can also give you a long list of heterosexuals who have contributed to the quality of our culture who have lived promiscuous lives and/or live denying the authority of God who are just as vulnerable to God’s judgment. As to the animal kingdom, with few exceptions the homosexual activity that is observed is situational. Bucks will mount other bucks during rutting season because they are denied access to the does by the alpha or dominate male. The only exception to this is one specie of monkey. You will find the same situational sexuality in prison’s and other institutions that restrict male/female interaction over long periods of time. Comparing humans to animals to state that homosexuality is normal and then not also accept as normal other animal behavior seems ridiculous, at least to me. Animals kill their young so females will go into heat (lions and bears have been observed doing this); some mate for life (swans, wolves); some live solitary lives except during mating season, most animals engage in sexual activity only during mating season when the females are in heat; deer, elk, horses, and other animals fight for control of the females and the victor is the only male that mates with the females, etc. Much of what is observed in the animal kingdom is not acceptable behavior for most human’s. |
